The team

Our multi-professional team for your child consists of over 100 employees. In addition to educators and kitchen staff, social workers, administrative personnel, students, volunteers, career changers, instructors, and other volunteers work together toward a common goal: to offer your children a needs-based learning and living environment. Together, we make up our team and enable us to create such a wide range of services that support the balance between family and career. Furthermore, we are a dual training partner of various universities, the University of Darmstadt, and several schools for early childhood educators.

Our philosophy

Spielraum gGmbH - From the heart of Rodgau - Non-profit instead of profit

Your child is our top priority. We regularly participate in professional development and training to continuously improve our services. As a provider of all-day school programs, our goal is to offer high-quality, child-centered care. We draw on 25 years of experience in childcare. Within the framework of all-day school development, we are your partner in balancing family and work life. Good, healthy food can be enjoyable and is a key component of our afternoon care program. Our professional kitchen team prepares fresh, regional, and seasonal products in our children's restaurants. We place great emphasis on high quality and balanced nutrition for children. We adhere to the recommendations for school-age children's nutrition from the German Nutrition Society (DGE). In addition to a salad and raw vegetable buffet, there is always plenty of choice to create your own main meal according to your preferences. We are a non-profit organization because we believe that the child, not profit, should be our focus.

OUR SCHOOLS IN RODGAU

Our facilities in Rodgau have everything children need for healthy development. The city of Rodgau, with its financial support, is an important partner for us, thus relieving the burden on parents in Rodgau, not only during the kindergarten years but also throughout their children's schooling.

COOPERATION AND REPRESENTING STANDPOINTS

We are a member of the Association of German School and Daycare Caterers eV

01

learn

Collaboration with other suppliers is very important to us. We join forces to contribute our experience. We learn from each other, gain a better understanding of procurement processes, and share our philosophy.

02

represent

What do we want and what can we do versus what do others want? We need to have a public discussion about the implementation and possibilities of school childcare and its framework conditions.

03

fresh & regional

Organic at any price, but with unsustainable transport routes. Vegetarian is fine, but not at the expense of the ingredients.

04

Quality over quantity

How can we offer good, affordable, and fresh school meals? Not at any price and not at the expense of quality. Where does the responsibility of politicians begin?
